Penalty at whose cost?

West Ham united have been fined 30 million pounds for their tapping of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano from Sheffield United breaking transfer regulation. This unethical act saw them pay 5.5 million pounds at the time but they were not docked any points which only meant Sheffield were going to be relegated. Also Tevez was instrumental in helping West Ham stay in the top flight. All this meant Sheffield were to be pitied. Though they have appealed due to the money constraints they faced due to relegation and were also successful in it, nothing can change the fact that they are still relegated. It is justice 2 years too late.

The road to Rome or the Champions League final is and definitely will not be a bed of roses for the teams involved. It will be the fight of their lives and no one will want to go down easily. All of the teams will toil hard and only the deserving one will definitely win.

Ready to make amends

Real Madrid are ready to make amends following their 2-1 defeat at the Riazor. It was a painful loss and we have not won there in 17 years. But we got to put all of that aside and concentrate on beating Numancia at home. It will be tough. I say this because their kind of football is what we don't like- the defensive play. But the return of Van der Vaart following a suspension will boost the hopes of Los Blancos.

Bayern chasing Arshavin

Andrei Arshavin has become just a chase target of many clubs. They only seem to chase him until the transfer window closes but no one has made a concrete move till now. The latest clubs to have joined in the chase game are Bayern Munich. Though Bayern might not have that kind of money, they might apparently sell Podolski to find the necessary dough.

Great American seafood recipe

A seafood is very nutritious form of food and i like them very much and they form a major part of my diet. I have always wanted to try different types of seafood recipes and share them with my friends as i have a passion for cooking and it happens to be one of my hobbies. I stumbled upon the website GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com. It had organized a cook off of seafood and there were participants from all over the country of United States. I took a look at the recipes of the five finalists and they were really exciting. The best part about these recipes is that all of them use domestic seafood. By doing this, you get to conserve energy and there is less pollution because the fish need not be refrigerated for a long time and it does not involve a lot of transportation. It is very easy to obtain and also nutritious and fresh. Out of the five recipes that were present, i liked the one by chef Tafari Campbell of Maryland and it is called Pan Roasted Glazed Rockfish with Peas and Carrots. The recipe attracted me instantly and it consists of two types of seafood- the rockfish and crabs/shrimp along with a whole lot of other ingredients. I felt that the recipe needed a bit more hot and so i decided to add some spices to it and it tasted really excellent. The other recipes were also nice but i did not have the time to try out all of them. But you can always do it. All you need to do is visit the website and find the other details from them. Once you take up seafood, you will realize the goodness of it.

group stage schedule

Los Blancos' debut in the Champions League will be the 17 September clash against BATE Borisov, and their next game will take place on 30 September against Zenit. Their last match of the first leg will pit them with Juventus in Turin on 21 October. The second leg will begin against the Italians on 5 November in Madrid. The team’s last trip is set to take place on 25 November in Borisov. The round will finally come to an end at the BernabĂ©u against the Russians on 10 December. One thing atleat that makes me glad at this point in time is the fact that we won't have to face the hostile Russian winter and the climate in St. Petersburg in September has an Average high of 14.5°C and an Average low of 7.9°C.

What the heck?

What were Chelsea thinking? They have made a dumb mistake by advertising replica Robinho shirts for sale before the official transfer. This is an outrageous act by the blues. They cannot claim ownership to something that they don't have. Nobody can as a matter of fact and of all people Chelsea should have known this. The blues gotta remember that Robinho is still a blanco and has not put pen to paper. Really stupid.

The Phoenix

When the going gets tough, Real get going. Trailing Valencia by a goal in the second leg at the Bernabéu and also in aggregate, it looked like game over as Van der Vaart got a straight red and was sent off before the break. A valiant Real came back strongly in the second half and Ruud equalized from the spot, with Real still trailing 3-4 in aggregate. Disaster struck again when Ruud received the second yellow of the night and got the marching orders. But nothing was going to stop the never say die attitude of the Madridistas as they scored 3 goals in the space of 15 minutes. It was a terrific performance from a team that proved it's class one more time by rising from the dead. When you think we are dead and buried, we will rise from the ashes!

Robinho can leave but...

Robinho who has been restless of late at the capital club has been told that he can leave but he has to face the consequences of his actions though. Madrid are one club who have been known to be very compassionate towards their players and considering their career as well but the club cannot compromise on it's interests and it's desires to win trophies. The player announcing to the press about his will to the press this Friday was not correct. First of all, he has gone public about his desires which is not the right way to do things in Madrid because we are not like anyother club and we do consider a player's desire. Second of all, with just one week remaining in the transfer it gives us no time to find replacements and with you in the manager's plans for the season this is a bad thing to do. But nobody is forcing you. You wanna leave, then hell go ahead but not without compensating. We are not going to transfer you even for 40 or 50 million euros. Buy out your contract that has still two years in it and estimated at 150 million euros. The amount will be decided by the courts and Rob need not pay the entire amount. So if he wants to leave, he should leave now.

Argentina strike Gold

It was sweet revenge for Argentina as they avenged their defeat to Nigeria twelve years ago at the Atlanta games in 1996. Argentina won 1-0 after a superb pass from Messi found di Maria and the Benfica winger finished with ease. It has been a superb tournament for the Argentines and Messi in particular with them successfully defending their gold medal from Athens 4 years ago.

Ferguson cuts a sorry figure

The Man Utd manager clearly looked wondering what went wrong after his team's season opener against the magpies at home. One thing that was obvious from the match was the fact that Manu sucked big time without C.Ron. A lotta begging was apparently involved and eventually, the cry baby sir Alex managed to hold on to a man who was clearly not interested even a little in staying back. We can only wonder what's going through Ron's mind now. It's sick considering the fact that this is a free world, a man is not able to follow his dreams. I think Sepp Blatter was audacious in making the comment he did but no matter what the ugly practice of slavery is still very much alive even in today's world.

Anybody can be a CHAMP

Yes! Now anybody can win eight gold medals in a single Olympics. Literally anybody. You need not be Michael Phelps to do the impossible. You can do what he does if you eat 12000cal a day and swim for five hours a day, six days a week.
Breakfast: Three fried egg sandwiches; cheese; tomatoes; lettuce; fried onions; mayonnaise; three chocolate-chip pancakes; five-egg omelette; three sugar-coated slices of French toast; bowl of grits; two cups of coffee
Lunch: Half-kilogram (one pound) of enriched pasta; two large ham and cheese sandwiches with mayonnaise on white bread; energy drinks
Dinner: Half-kilogram of pasta, with carbonara sauce; large pizza; energy drinks
To be a CHAMP, you gotta eat like a CHAMP!

Argentina thrash Brazil

Argentina thrash Brazil 3-0 in their semi-final encounter of the Beijing Olympics. All three goals came in the second half with Aguero scoring a brace and Riquelme scoring from the spot to give Argentina the victory. the whole game was lively and clearly Argentina were the better side. Brazil's attack had no gloss and their defence was shaky right from the start and looked more likely to concede. Argentina came close to scoring in the first half but didn't and the score sheet remained nil-nil. They kept attacking all the time and were rewarded with the victory.

King of the POOL.

17th August 2008 was the day that saw Michael Phelps establish himself as the king of Olympics with his 8th gold medal in the 4*100 metre Medley relay. The American quartet - completed by Aaron Peirsol, Brendan Hansen and Jason Lezak - touched the wall in three minutes 29.34 seconds, 1.34 seconds under the world record and 0.70 secs ahead of Australia with Japan in third.
Michael's two Gold medals were in the team events. One of his events, the 100m butterfly was a close call with Phelps finishing just one hundredth of a second behind Serbian Milorad Cavic who led for almost the whole race. Nonetheless you can't take credit away from this man.

Highly inactive!

Real Madrid are highly inactive in this season's transfer market. As of today only one new signing in Rafael Van der Vaart has been made. Though the side is full of quality, we need a couple more to increase the bench strength. With our pursuit of Ronaldo ending in a terrible failure, it is now time to act and fast. The transfer window will shut close by this month end. C'mon we gotta do something don Ramon!

Let's unite to eradicate Alzheimer's.

One of the most common types of progressive brain cell failure in a person due to damage or disease in the brain is called Alzheimer's. It is normally known to affect the elderly like people over 65 years of age but could also attack early than the specified age. As many as 5.2 million people in the United States are living with Alzheimer’s. Every 71 seconds, someone develops Alzheimer’s. It is the sixth-leading cause of death. Alzheimer’s is a deadly disease as these facts mention some startling facts. Each individual experiences symptoms in unique ways. The main risk factor for developing the disease is age. The likelihood of developing Alzheimer’s doubles about every five years after age 65. After age 85, the risk reaches nearly 50 percent. Also there is a relation between serious head injury and chances of getting the disease. As of now there is no single reason identified for the cell failure. So we can only prevent but not cure it.
Alzheimer's Memory Walk aims at creating an Alzheimer free world. It is America's largest fund raising and awareness creating event. People from all walks of life participate in it. A typical Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall. Volunteers, irrespective of age should participate in the cause of fighting against this demon! You can either join a team or form your own one. As it goes on around the country it is possible to find walks in your vicinity. If you are not able to participate in the walk, there other ways by which you can contribute. Visit the site for more details! Let's unite to eradicate the disease because we never know who the next victim is going to be.

Complete protein is good!

All of us who are into exercises of any form don't realize the importance of complete protein (one that contains all amino acids). Even the trainers don't emphasize on the need for and instead argue that only serious body builders need to worry about protein.
Modern scientific evidence says that foods rich in complete amino acids contain an enzyme tyrosine, which boosts two brain chemicals that elevate mood. Complete protein is needed for muscle, hair and nail health. protein improves concentration besides repairing the damage caused to muscle tissue.
Complete protein is found in egg whites, skimmed milk, chicken breast(grilled), tuna and supplements such as whey protein powder. So make sure that these foods become a regular part of your diet as per required and enjoy the benefits of complete protein.

Fallen hero.

A crestfallen Federer after losing his crown to Rafa.

Sensational Rafa poses for the lens.

Rafael Nadal with the 2008 Wimbledon championships trophy.

King Federer dethroned!

Sunday, 6 july 2008 was that fateful day in the life of Roger Federer as he saw himself losing out to Rafael Nadal in the finals of the Wimbledon championships for the first time. It is also his first loss on grass since 2002. Nadal's 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (8-10), 9-7 victory took 4 hours and 48 minutes of actual playing time but occupied all of the afternoon and most of the evening because of two rain delays.
Both men were chasing Bjorn Borg, one looking to overtake while the other trying to equal. Eventually Rafael Nadal, the man who tried to equal his record of winning both the French open and the Wimbledon championships in the same year won. It was a terrific match of tennis and one of the best i have ever seen. The final result gave me a weird feeling as i like both the players. I was both sad and happy at the same time. One interesting trivia is Nadal leads FedEx 4-2 in grand slam finals, with three of those victories coming on the clay of Paris. Will Federer be able to bounce back? Only time will tell.

Federer to meet Nadal in the final!

The second semifinal of the Gentlemen's singles was played between the muscles of Mallorca- Rafael Nadal and Rainer Schuettler of Germany. the finalist from the last 2 years is in terrific form this time around and looks like he'll end Federer's run for sure. The Swiss ace's plans for winning a record 6th straight wimbledon crown looks in jeopardy now with Rafa in such fine form. Schuettler who was obviously tired after his epic quarterfinal match has played 6 hours more tennis than Rafa before their clash and ran out of steam just at the wrong time to hand Nadal a straight sets victory. Final score: 6-1 7-6 6-4.

Safin finds Fedex too hot to handle!

Roger Federer proved why he is the world #1 and king of grass. Federer just outclassed his inform opponent Marat Safin in all departments of the game. He was just too good for safin and began to dominate from the beginning itself. Roger won the first set 6-3. The embarrasment was too much for the Russian. He gave it a fight in the 2nd set and forced it to a tie breaker in which Federer prevailed. The third set was again won by the swiss master which completed the victory in straight sets. Final score: 6-3 7-6 6-4.

DECEMBER 2004 TSUNAMI FACTS

I happened to see these facts somewhere. Really huge magnitude. check it out 4 yourself.

Released energy equivalent to 9,560 gigatons of TNT equivalent (550 million times that of Hiroshima Atomic bomb), or about 370 years of energy used in the United States in 2005 killing more than 225,000 people in eleven countries.

Waves up to 30 meters (100 feet). Average overhead roads we see on the road have 5 meter clearance.

Magnitude of between 9.1 and 9.3 recorded on a seismograph.

It caused the entire planet to vibrate as much as 1 cm, shortened the length of a day by 2.68 microseconds, caused the Earth to minutely "wobble" on its axis by up to 2.5 cm and triggered other earthquakes as far away as Alaska.

In deep ocean water, tsunami waves form only a small hump, barely noticeable and harmless, which generally travels at a very high speed of 500 to 1,000 km/h ; in shallow water near coastlines, a tsunami slows down to only tens of kilometres an hour but in doing so forms large destructive waves.

Tsunami was noticed as far as Struisbaai in South Africa, some 8,500 km (5,300 mi) away, where a 1.5 m high tide was observed.

In the minutes preceding a tsunami strike, the sea often recedes temporarily from the coast. Around the Indian Ocean, this rare sight reportedly induced people, especially children, to visit the coast to investigate and collect stranded fish on as much as 2.5 km of exposed beach, with fatal results.

Wimbledon gets Interesting

The Wimbledon championships this year has thrown a few surprises both in the men's and the women's singles. In the women's section, all the top 4 seeds have been knocked out. This is the first time in the Open era that all 4 seeds failed to make it to the last 8. Also Jie zheng became the first Chinese to reach a Grand Slam singles semifinal.
Meanwhile, the men's singles has seen an upset in Novak Djokokovic being eliminated by Marat Safin of Russia.

A King-size breakfast

Would you like to shed those extra pounds? Well, allyou need to do is start eating a big breakfast, according to a new study.
The study, conducted by Dr. Daniela Jakubowicz fron Virginia Commonwealth University, found that women who eat half their daily calories first thing in the morning lose more weight in the morning lose more weight in the long term than those who start the day with a small breakfast.
Jakubowicz reported that the big breakfasters said they felt less hungry, particularly in the mornings.
"Most weight loss studies have determined that a very low carb diet is not a good method to reduce weight," BBC quoted her as saying. "It exacerbates the craving for carbohydrates and slows metabolism- as a result after a short period of weight loss, there is a quick return to obesity."
She also added that the bigger breakfast helped by making people fuller during the day, and was healthier, because it allowed more fibre and fruit to be included.

agony FOR germany

German captain Michael Ballack wears a dejected look after his side's defeat to Spain in the euro finals. This is just not Ballack's year as his club side Chelsea lost the premiership title and the Champions league title to Man utd!

ECSTASY for SPAIN

Spain's #1 Iker Casillas led their team to a sensational win over Germany in the finals of the euro 08 championships at the Ernst Happel Stadion on sunday. In the process he became the first goalie to lift the trophy. It also ended a miserable 44 years without a single trophy for Spain.

El Nino-STANDING TALL

Cometh the hour! Cometh the man! EL Nino scores Spain's only goal of the final against Jens Lehman of Germany as Philipp Lahm watches helplessly!

UNITED we STAND! divided WE fall!

Spain have realized at last that UNITY is the key to success. They proved it last nite with a sterling display against Germany. There were many controversies within the team which led to their downfall and them getting the tag of the greatest UNDERACHIEVERS in world football. But this tournament was no surprise either at the start with the controversy of leaving Raul behind and the public spat the coach had with him. Even during the course of the tournament there were misunderstandings between a few players and the coach. But credit must be given to Luis Aragones, who at 69 not only managed to take the team to the final but also ended it's silverware drought. This was the country's major tournament victory in 44 years. They thoroughly deserved it!

SAFIN express reaches round 4!

Marat Safin has reached round 4 of this year's wimbledon championships with a 7-6 3-6 7-6 6-4 victory over Andreas Seppi of Italy. Safin's good form in this year's championships is surprising because his aversion to grass is legendary. He had also eliminated one of the title prospects Novak Djokovic in the previous round. Watch out Federer! you might get run over by the Safin express.

injury woes for la furia roja

Spain's chances of lifting a major title in 44 years dealt with a major blow after their hitman David Villa got himself injured in the semifinal clash against Russia. Here in the pic he is seen along with Fernando Torres who has not proven his mettle in this tournament as yet. It's highly likely that Villa will miss Sunday's clash against Germany. If Spain like to win, they surely need Torres to fire and in the apparent absence of Villa it certainly looks like life won't be a walk in the park for the Spanish.

ONe step Closer but!

FINALLY Spain are one step closer to winning the euro championships. The last time they did so was way back in 1964. Also they are qualifying for a major finals for the first time in 24 years. they did that in style with a superb performance against the Russians. The Russians started off with some vigour and the first half was equally contested. Spain received a big blow when the tournament's leading goal scorer, David Villa had to be substituted in the 33rd minute due to an injury. In came Fabregas. The half ended the way it started.
The second half was when Spain began to dominate and from then onwards it was no looking back. They scored three beautiful goals between the 49th and 81st minutes and on top of that Saint Iker had a second clean sheet in as many games which meant Spain are through to a major finals in 24 years. But as the important rule in every tournament says- never get too excited about Spain at any point in time, we gotta keep our fingers crossed until they have done it for real!

UNDERACHIEVERS or UNDERDOGS?

Tonight's clash between the greatest underachievers of world football-SPAIN and tonight's underdogs-Russia will be a match worth watching!
Both these teams share almost similar styles of play- attacking football. Their Head to Head record tells that Spain have the advantage with the latest win coming in the group stages of this years euro a 4-1 hammering by Spain. BUT since then, Russia have displayed some scintillating performances and ousted one of the tournament favorites, the Netherlands en route to the semi-finals. Also the last time they met, Arshavin was suspended. He could make all the difference and he has proved it in all the matches he has played in the tournament so far.
So in order for Spain to win and remove the tag of chokers, they have to come up with something special or else it would be bye bye La Furia Roja.

SAVE FUEL! SAVE EARTH!

With the fuel prices sky rocketing, it literally burns a hole in every motorist's pocket. In order to lessen the impact of the high fuel prices, you gotta drive economically. to know how, just read on

  • Accelerating slowly is not the best option to save fuel. Instead rev up normally through the gears to your desired speed and then change to the highest gear possible.
  • When cruising, try to use top gear from 60 kph up and aim to keep the rpm between 2000 and 3000.
  • Switch off engine in places when idling for more than 1 minute.
  • Take less congested routes. Don't worry if they add miles to your journey but if they cut out stop-start motoring, you could save fuel.
  • Windows and sunroofs must be shut and tyres must be inflated to the right pressure. Wind resistance and drag from under-inflated tyres will increase fuel consumption.
  • Always remove roof racks and bike racks when not needed and no unnecessary luggage in your boot.
  • Use of stereo, rear demisters, lights and air-conditioning adds to fuel bill.
  • A dirty engine with lots of sooty deposits worsen fuel economy.changing oil improves conditions.
TRY following these simple steps and u will be able to eke out the maximum kilometres from every litre of fuel.

DASAVATHARAM review

OKAY! After finally watching the movie after a long wait, i am made to think was it worth the wait, money etc, etc....My friends who watched the movie with me started to sing praises of it almost after every scene while on the other hand i wasn't convinced as much as them:-(
What could be the reason? This film makes use of the chaos theory or the butterfly effect to narrate the story. It starts with Kamal addressing to an audience at the Nehru stadium in Chennai, moves to 12th Century when the local Shaivaite King’s move to remove the Vishnu idol from a temple is opposed by Nambi (Kamal), a Vaishnavite. King Kulothunga packs the idol and the idol lover together and dumps both in the Bay of Bengal. Then we are transported to 2004 where Dr Govind(Kamal) invents a deadly virus and Ex-CIA bad guy Christian Fletcher tries to take it from him. Rest of the movie is one big chase which finally ends up in the Bay of Bengal where the Vishnu idol lies. Every chase needs 2 chicks, the good girl with the hero is Asin and the vamp with the villain is Mallika Sherawat.
The screenplay was lively and well paced. Many people said the script was loosely etched to fit in all the 10 Kamal's but i didn't feel the same. It was neatly packed. So where did the movie go wrong? The biggest ditcher was Michael Westmore. The make up in the movie was pathetic. It looked literally like the characters were wearing masks. Was westmore still thinking of star trek? You call this guy a genius and is this the best he can do or it was because he was not provided with enough money? Whatever the reason, the make up was horrendous. Take a look at Bush(one of the 10 characters portrayed by Kamal ). You might get the feeling that it's near perfect but it isn't actually. When a chennai based firm can manage to get a fair looking Rajni in the movie Sivaji WHY can't this be done to Kamal? Reason is TIME. The fair looking CGI of Rajni in the movie took one year to create. But you can argue that he played only 3 foreigners in the movie. What was he thinking? Indians settle for compromised stuff? Only Kamal knows the answer and he might have his justifications as well.
The next drawback was the graphics and the CGI of the movie. Obvious reason being shortage of money. The Rise of the Machines, for example, the budget for computer work, including visual effects, creature effects, and special effects, was $USD 28.2 million. That money is much more than the entire budget of the movie. Also Asin's cries of Perumal in the movie were sick at times though she was cute.

FINAL VERDICT: The effort is huge. The product is not. Lack of perfection outshines his strife for exellence. 3 stars on a scale of 5.

FLYING SAINT

Saint Iker diving to deny de Rossi of italy in the penalty shoot out
between Spain and Italy in the quarter-finals of euro 08.

SAINT IKER DOES IT!

Hello people. WIth EURO 08 hogging the limelight, i find it very difficult for me to update my blog. But now there is a pause to the tournament as the quarters are over and the semis waiting to happen in a couple of days , i find some time to write about this man- Iker Casillas Fernández.

Saint Iker was the hero as Spain progressed to the first major semi final since 1984 and will now play Russia. The game was dull and lifeless- thanks to Italy's negative football. 120 minutes of football failed to separate the two sides. It was the dreaded penalties yet again. Spain started scoring first with Villa getting the job done with a cool penalty. then came Grosso and Cazorla who all scored before casillas produced a stunning save to deny de rossi. Advantage Spain. Senna and Camoranesi scored before Guiza was denied by Buffon. Looked like Italy were back in business. NOT to be. The saint pulled off another save to stop di Natale from scoring. This setup Fabregas to catapult Spain into the semis. He did it in style and Spain were through. All was because of this one man and his brilliant saves. Captain Courageous. The saint has done it so many rimes for Real. He has now proven to the world why he is the best shot stopper in the world. Vamos Casillas.........!

A new BABY in THE TOWN

YES dudes........ The wait is over. For all of us INDIANS who could only dream of a machine called the YAMAHA YZF R1, here is the good news. YAMAHA has created a look alike of the big DADDY. The kid is named the YAMAHA YZF R15.. It's a very affordable piece of art.(I'm just guessin from the fact that it's a 150 cc.). Yamaha has adopted a six speed transmission for the baby. Another first of a kind for bikes in INDIA is the liquid cooled engine. There are many new features in R15 when compared to already available bikes in India.

YZF R15 makes use of DiASil (Die-casting Aluminum-Silicon) cylinder. The DiASil Cylinder is an all-aluminum cylinder made possible by an exclusive Yamaha aluminum forging technology. DiASil cylinder uses 20% silicon aluminum alloy, it is possible to create a cylinder wall that is so hard and durable that it eliminates the need for a conventional steel cylinder sleeve. And, because the cylinder is all aluminum, it has excellent heat dissipation qualities (cooling capacity is improved by 60% and reduces engine weight (by 30%) at the same time.

YZF R15 makes use of forged piston (India’s first) which enables lighter piston design and excellent power development.

YZF R15’s 4-valve combustion chamber adopts centrally mounted spark plug and six hole type injector which leads to path breaking performance.YZF R15 has delta box frame.

It’s overall length is 1070mm, overall width is 670mm and its wheels base is 1290mm. YZF R15 150cc features F 80/90 -17 inches tyres in the front and 100/80-17 inches tyres in the rear. Both the tyres are tubeless.

THE NEW ONE IS EXPECTED ON 12th of this month.

FACTFILE

name: Lionel Messi
position: Forward
club: Barcelona
dob: 24-06-1987
argentina caps: 24
argentina goals: 7
argentina debut: vs Hungary, August 2005

moment to remember
Comparisons with Maradona seemed apt when Messi scored a stunning goal in a Copa del Rey against Getafe in April 2007. Messi ran more than half the length of the field and beat six players before netting the ball into the net from a tight angle. after seeing that kind of an ability on a football pitch, all one could remember is the famous Maradona's goal from the 1986 World Cup quarterfinals against England.

moment to forget
Messi endured a miserable debut for Argentina when he was red carded against Hungary in Budapest just 2 minutes after coming off the bench. He was adjudged to have elbowed Vilmos Vanczak and left the field in tears.

Know Your Woman

1. Women do not want an honest answer to the question ‘How Do I Look?’.

2. Despite claims to the contrary women don’t really care about a sense of humor in a guy. Ever see women trampling over Shahrukh to tear apart Sajid Khan’s clothes?

3. Women love to talk on the phone. A woman can visit her friend for two weeks and upon returning home she will call that same friend and they will talk for three hours.

4. ‘Oh nothing’ has an entirely different meaning in woman-language than it does in man-language.

5. All women are over-weight by definition. Women always have at least 10 kg to lose.

6. If it is not Valentine’s Day and you see a man in a flower shop you can probably start up a conversation by asking, ‘So what did you do?’

7. At a party men can never catch women checking out other men. Whereas women will always always catch men checking out other women.

8. The most embarrassing thing for women is to find another woman wearing the same dress at a party. You’ll never hear men say, ‘Oh my God! There’s another man wearing a gray suit, get me out of here!’
