Alzheimer's Memory Walk aims at creating an Alzheimer free world. It is America's largest fund raising and awareness creating event. People from all walks of life participate in it. A typical Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall. Volunteers, irrespective of age should participate in the cause of fighting against this demon! You can either join a team or form your own one. As it goes on around the country it is possible to find walks in your vicinity. If you are not able to participate in the walk, there other ways by which you can contribute. Visit the site for more details! Let's unite to eradicate the disease because we never know who the next victim is going to be.

DECEMBER 2004 TSUNAMI FACTS
Released energy equivalent to 9,560 gigatons of TNT equivalent (550 million times that of Hiroshima Atomic bomb), or about 370 years of energy used in the United States in 2005 killing more than 225,000 people in eleven countries.
Waves up to 30 meters (100 feet). Average overhead roads we see on the road have 5 meter clearance.
Magnitude of between 9.1 and 9.3 recorded on a seismograph.
It caused the entire planet to vibrate as much as 1 cm, shortened the length of a day by 2.68 microseconds, caused the Earth to minutely "wobble" on its axis by up to 2.5 cm and triggered other earthquakes as far away as Alaska.
In deep ocean water, tsunami waves form only a small hump, barely noticeable and harmless, which generally travels at a very high speed of 500 to 1,000 km/h ; in shallow water near coastlines, a tsunami slows down to only tens of kilometres an hour but in doing so forms large destructive waves.
Tsunami was noticed as far as Struisbaai in South Africa, some 8,500 km (5,300 mi) away, where a 1.5 m high tide was observed.
In the minutes preceding a tsunami strike, the sea often recedes temporarily from the coast. Around the Indian Ocean, this rare sight reportedly induced people, especially children, to visit the coast to investigate and collect stranded fish on as much as 2.5 km of exposed beach, with fatal results.

injury woes for la furia roja
ONe step Closer but!
The second half was when Spain began to dominate and from then onwards it was no looking back. They scored three beautiful goals between the 49th and 81st minutes and on top of that Saint Iker had a second clean sheet in as many games which meant Spain are through to a major finals in 24 years. But as the important rule in every tournament says- never get too excited about Spain at any point in time, we gotta keep our fingers crossed until they have done it for real!

UNDERACHIEVERS or UNDERDOGS?
So in order for Spain to win and remove the tag of chokers, they have to come up with something special or else it would be bye bye La Furia Roja.
SAVE FUEL! SAVE EARTH!
- Accelerating slowly is not the best option to save fuel. Instead rev up normally through the gears to your desired speed and then change to the highest gear possible.
- When cruising, try to use top gear from 60 kph up and aim to keep the rpm between 2000 and 3000.
- Switch off engine in places when idling for more than 1 minute.
- Take less congested routes. Don't worry if they add miles to your journey but if they cut out stop-start motoring, you could save fuel.
- Windows and sunroofs must be shut and tyres must be inflated to the right pressure. Wind resistance and drag from under-inflated tyres will increase fuel consumption.
- Always remove roof racks and bike racks when not needed and no unnecessary luggage in your boot.
- Use of stereo, rear demisters, lights and air-conditioning adds to fuel bill.
- A dirty engine with lots of sooty deposits worsen fuel economy.changing oil improves conditions.

A new BABY in THE TOWN
YZF R15 makes use of DiASil (Die-casting Aluminum-Silicon) cylinder. The DiASil Cylinder is an all-aluminum cylinder made possible by an exclusive Yamaha aluminum forging technology. DiASil cylinder uses 20% silicon aluminum alloy, it is possible to create a cylinder wall that is so hard and durable that it eliminates the need for a conventional steel cylinder sleeve. And, because the cylinder is all aluminum, it has excellent heat dissipation qualities (cooling capacity is improved by 60% and reduces engine weight (by 30%) at the same time.
YZF R15 makes use of forged piston (India’s first) which enables lighter piston design and excellent power development.
YZF R15’s 4-valve combustion chamber adopts centrally mounted spark plug and six hole type injector which leads to path breaking performance.YZF R15 has delta box frame.
It’s overall length is 1070mm, overall width is 670mm and its wheels base is 1290mm. YZF R15 150cc features F 80/90 -17 inches tyres in the front and 100/80-17 inches tyres in the rear. Both the tyres are tubeless.
THE NEW ONE IS EXPECTED ON 12th of this month.

Know Your Woman
2. Despite claims to the contrary women don’t really care about a sense of humor in a guy. Ever see women trampling over Shahrukh to tear apart Sajid Khan’s clothes?
3. Women love to talk on the phone. A woman can visit her friend for two weeks and upon returning home she will call that same friend and they will talk for three hours.
4. ‘Oh nothing’ has an entirely different meaning in woman-language than it does in man-language.
5. All women are over-weight by definition. Women always have at least 10 kg to lose.
6. If it is not Valentine’s Day and you see a man in a flower shop you can probably start up a conversation by asking, ‘So what did you do?’
7. At a party men can never catch women checking out other men. Whereas women will always always catch men checking out other women.
8. The most embarrassing thing for women is to find another woman wearing the same dress at a party. You’ll never hear men say, ‘Oh my God! There’s another man wearing a gray suit, get me out of here!’
